Why it is a mistake to not use Microsoft Power Platform

The Microsoft Power Platform is not just a game changer – it’s already here. And if you’re not using it today, you’re missing out on money, efficiency and expertise. Because: Power Automate and Power Apps have long been included in almost all Microsoft 365 licenses – at no extra cost.

Even with a Microsoft 365 Business Premium or Microsoft 365 E3 license (cost: approx. €22-38/month per user), every employee already has access to Power Automate for personal flows, Power Apps for simple canvas apps, Dataverse for Teams and over 400 standard connectors – without an additional license.

🔎 Fact: The Power Platform package accounts for around 25-30% of the functional scope of an M365 license – and often remains unused. Even simple automations can save 5-10 hours of manual work per person per month – e.g. through Outlook responses, Teams notifications, SharePoint filing or simple approvals.

And for advanced scenarios, a single central premium license (from around €84/month) is often sufficient, allowing a company to carry out hundreds of automations via service accounts or system flows. This is an enormous lever, especially for SMEs and smaller teams:
➡️ One flow quickly saves 2-3 hours per week – multiplied by 10 employees, that’s over 100 hours per month.

Not automating means wasting valuable time, burdening specialists and missing out on opportunities – even though the tools are already there.
The Power Platform is not the future – it is here and now and already part of Microsoft 365. Use it.
